Open Water Training 2025

March 14, 2025

Our Open Water training sessions are a long-standing tradition on the left bank of the lake. We meet just a stone’s throw from our shop, right by the Horgen train station, next to the Seerose outdoor pool (parking is available at the station or directly on Seegartenstrasse).

In this group training session, you’ll learn tips and tricks on the following topics: swimming in a wetsuit, navigating in the lake, swimming around buoys, mass starts, and preparations for the start and transition.

Michael “Micky” Tronczik, one of the most experienced and well-known triathlon swim coaches, will join you in the water. No coaching from the beach or dock—he’ll be right there with you. At each session, an athlete from the triathlon or swimming community will also be in the water to coach you. Sessions are held every Thursday:
